The Refugee Crisis.
This project was an assignment for college. After a lot of research and watching videos of stories of refugees, this became so much more than just a college project. Hence, deviating from college work, I made this mix-media painting as an ode to refugees.
A snippet of my research to give a better understanding of the topic.
Work in progress- All stencils were hand-made using old magazine pages. I made this during the lockdown which limited the art supplies to the ones I had left at home.
The situation of refugees all over the world is truly disheartening. Their stories ,on one hand, makes you aware of the monstrosities humans are capable of but on the other hand, makes you realise the perseverance humans are capable of.
